It is important to highlight that the definition of a standard is a level of quality or achievement that is thought to be acceptable. In engineering terms, it is a concise set of conditions and requirements that must be satisfied by a material, product, process, procedure, convention, or test method and the physical functional, performance and/or conformance characteristics thereof. A standard will influence the quality of the product.
